Gaga Over KMM & My First Mac Halo

Meet the Book Nympho....thebooknympho.blogspot.com

Directions: I want a dark & sexy feel to the blog, since most of the books I read have both. But I'm ok with a humor element as well. So if you want to add a campy vampire element I'm cool with that.
Genres I read:
Paranormal Romance | Urban Fantasy | Young Adult (paranormal themed) |
Erotic Romance (paranormal &"normal")

The following images are copyrighted by The Book Nympho and are not for general use. They are for display purposes, please do not steal.

Client Feedback:

HOLY FREAKING COW!!! I love it. - The Book Nympho

Keeping it Simple...From the TBR Pile

Design specs:

"clean and uncluttered"

We like our basic color scheme, the light bluish/aqua.  We don't want anything too cluttered.  We'd like something pretty and some clean lines, nothing really cartoony looking...and something building off our blog title....a pile of books or something...

I {heart} Romance...

Author, Macy Beckett told me about the books that she has written and it was almost instant inspiration. Especially after she showed me a few example of the sites she likes and they were just so clean and pretty...I knew I had to step up the bar and out of my usual dark comfort zone. Chick lit. I love a challenge...

What Macy had to say about the design:

...Just want to thank you again. It was a pleasure working with you, and I appreciate not only your skill, but your patience as well. You responded to all my questions in a flash and went above and beyond. The compliments keep rolling in, and I'm so thrilled with my site!

She's Bona Fide...

Welcoming in a new design to the book blogger world today. Bona Fide Reflections has been given a face lift. Directions given included an avatar update, mature and a bit sexy, but not overly in-your-face, a purple color scheme, to expand on the the thought-bubble idea and embellishments to give it a softer look.

Clients thoughts after the blog went live:

"I love the avatar a lot, I love the colors scheme, I love the romantic thougts, I love the reflection of the word reflections, the sparse plant life since I won't have much time to keep them watered, hehehe..."

MyShelfConfessions.com is a book blog that specilizes in the genres of Mystery/Thriller/Suspense, Dystopian, Young Adult, Paranormal Fiction and Urban Fantasy. April that runs the blog was very specific in her likes. She loves purple and teal, argyle and she wanted a vampire avatar that her finger up, "shushing" like she had a secret.

This blog is a self-hosted Wordpress blog and I worked within the Chip-Life template.

What April says about the design:

Hi Rachel, I love it all! Think it looks great!

There are also a few other images that are included with April's package.

Making Mojo

Jessica Wisniewski is a teacher in the Chicago suburbs and currently trying to get her first novel MoJoFingers published. From the description she gave me "black or cement gray background, and a sort of graphic novel feel" and then the description of her characters - middle grade super heroes, we came up with this design.

What Jessica has to say about her design:

Rachel -

I LOVE it!  You = Awesome with a side of Awesome Sauce!  I love the graphic quality of the lettering, the colors, and the little sketches up at the top!  SO COOL!

Thanks,

Jess

Remodeling a Bookshelf...

Lily's Book Shelf was one of PJD's first clients and after a bit of time she wanted a "revamp" of her old site, but keep her avatar. I fell in love with the pattern the moment I saw it and implemented it throughout the whole site. Stop by and say hello....http://lillybook.blogspot.com/2011/07/new-look.html
