Julie Ann Walker, Author Web Site

Julie Ann Walker writes about boys with motorcycles in Chicago with guns and muscles...she wanted something gritty. She described her characters as Sons of Anarchy meet 007. She wanted her website to reflect that atmostphere.

I {heart} Romance...

Author, Macy Beckett told me about the books that she has written and it was almost instant inspiration. Especially after she showed me a few example of the sites she likes and they were just so clean and pretty...I knew I had to step up the bar and out of my usual dark comfort zone. Chick lit. I love a challenge...

What Macy had to say about the design:

...Just want to thank you again. It was a pleasure working with you, and I appreciate not only your skill, but your patience as well. You responded to all my questions in a flash and went above and beyond. The compliments keep rolling in, and I'm so thrilled with my site!

Making Mojo

Jessica Wisniewski is a teacher in the Chicago suburbs and currently trying to get her first novel MoJoFingers published. From the description she gave me "black or cement gray background, and a sort of graphic novel feel" and then the description of her characters - middle grade super heroes, we came up with this design.

What Jessica has to say about her design:

Rachel -

I LOVE it!  You = Awesome with a side of Awesome Sauce!  I love the graphic quality of the lettering, the colors, and the little sketches up at the top!  SO COOL!

Thanks,

Jess

Going Green with Julia Crane

Julia Crane, author of Coexist: Keegan's Chronicles is a debut author. Her first book is about Elves and the striking image she used for her cover speaks of greenery and fantasy. I implemented a similar look with the design, but didn't focus on an exact match so she would have room to expand her design with other titles as she publishes them. View actual site.

Julia's site is a complete web design and is not hosted through a CMS program.
